The movie execs over at Batman 3 aren't done with the film, but at least they're starting things up headed in the right direction. Some actors shine a light so bright on their roles that they can't ever be replaced, and what Heath Ledger did to the Joker in the last installment of the Batman franchise was pure legend. When asked about the direction Batman 3 is taking, director Christopher Nolan announced "For me, Heath was the definitive Joker," Nolan said, "It wouldn't feel appropriate to readdress that character." Unfortunately for us, Nolan wouldn't dish on what villians might be in the next film, which is slated for release on July 20, 2012. All we know for sure is that Christian Bale will return as the caped crusader in Batman 3. Not bad for starters.
