Tim Tebow finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting in New York last December, but after leading Florida to a national championship, he will start as the leader in the USA TODAY's Heisman Watch.

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, who won the Heisman in 2007, hopes to be holding the award again this December.

The threesome appear to be head and shoulders above the rest of the field at this point. California running back Jahvid Best was the only other player to get double digits in points with 18 points. Mississippi quarterback Jevan Snead rounded out the top five.
