JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Wolfpack coach Bruce Rosebrock brought his team to the regional finals last year and lost. 2012 is a different story for Wolfson as they advance to the class 6A final four with a 70-69 win at home against Pensacola Pine Forest.
The Eagles led by as many as 11 in the 1st half, but the Wolfpack started the 2nd half with a 14-2 run to take the lead, sparked by 6 3-pointers in the half. Wolfson held on to win thanks to big free throws by guard Kerry White with 8 seconds to play.
Wolfson will next face Leesburg in the 6A state semifinal next Friday.
Providence will have a chance to bring home their second state title as they advanced to the class 3A final four with a win at home against Daytona Beach Father Lopez by a score of 52-41.
